Who said that slow cooked traditional lamb or goat can only be baked in a traditional oven? You can bake as tasty “kleftiko” from the comfort of your home, and following a recipe that will pleasantly surprise you with its ease. Accompany this traditional dish with red wine Playia Cuvée Spéciale from Oenou Yi – Ktima Vassiliades and live carefree Sunday days in the village, from your home.
Ingredients for 4:
- 2kg of lamb or goat with bone (shoulder blade) cut into pieces or 4 legs

- olive oil
- ½ cup Playia White Dry

- Place the garlic and bay leaves scattered between the ingredients.
- Drizzle with enough olive oil (at least the bottom of our pyrex needs to be completely covered) and the wine.
- Add the oregano and season with salt and pepper.
- Bake for at least 3 hours at 180 degrees C.
- Serve aside a bottle of Playia Cuvée Spéciale from the Oenou Yi – Ktima Vassiliades and enjoy!
