Machalepi with Rosewater from “Oenou Yi – Ktima Vassiliades” is perfect for the hot summer days, very easy to make and an extra light dessert!
Ingredients:
- 1 ltr water
- 100gr of nisiaste (maize powdered starch)
- 1 tbsp sugar
- rosewater “Oenou Yi – Ktima Vassiliades”
- rose syrup
- ice cubes (optional)
Preparation:
- In a pan, place the nisiaste and the water and let it boil over low heat. Mix the mixture continuously until bubbles appear in the pot.
- Add the sugar and stir for another 5 minutes until the mixture becomes a thick cream.
- Place the mixture wet baking pan. Leave to cool down, then cover with water and place it in the refrigerator for couple of hours.
- Serve rose water and ice cubes! A few drops of Rosewater from “Oenou Yi – Ktima Vassiliades” will complete the refreshing flavour of this dessert!
