Delicious and easy, this comforting cauliflower and potatoes au gratin will become an all-time favourite on your table. ‘Style it up’ with a glass of Red Melody ‘Oenou Yi – Ktima Vassiliades’ !
Ingredients:
- 1 medium cauliflower head
- 5 potatoes
- 2 tbsp. butter
- 200gr. melting cheese
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- salt and pepper
Preparation:
- Preheat the oven to 180oC.
- Cut the cauliflower into florets. Chop the potatoes into thick slices, bring to boil in salted water.
- When ready, strain them and put them in a bowl to be able to mash them.
- Add the butter, some grated cheese, salt and pepper. Put the mixture in to a baking dish and add the rest of the cheese on top.
- Cover with foil and bake for 30-40 minutes.
- Remove from the oven, sprinkle with dried breadcrumbs and bake uncovered for 10 – 15 more minutes.
- Served with a glass of Red Melody from ‘Oenou Yi – Ktima Vassiliades’ for the ultimate taste experience.
