Delicious and easy, this comforting cauliflower and potatoes au gratin will become an all-time favourite on your table. ‘Style it up’ with a glass of Red MelodyOenou Yi – Ktima Vassiliades’ !


Ingredients:

  • 1 medium cauliflower head
  • 5 potatoes
  • 2 tbsp. butter
  • 200gr. melting cheese
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • salt and pepper

Preparation:

  1. Preheat the oven to 180oC.
  2.  Cut the cauliflower into florets. Chop the potatoes into thick slices, bring to boil in salted water.
  3. When ready, strain them and put them in a bowl to be able to mash them.
  4. Add the butter, some grated cheese, salt and pepper. Put the mixture in to a baking dish and add the rest of the cheese on top.
  5. Cover with foil and bake for 30-40 minutes.
  6. Remove from the oven, sprinkle with dried breadcrumbs and bake uncovered for 10 – 15 more minutes.
  7. Served with a glass of Red Melody from ‘Oenou Yi – Ktima Vassiliades’ for the ultimate taste experience.
